2016 ITSA ESSAY

SCHOLARSHIP WINNER

Michael Frey, Detective, Investigator in the Field of Pickpocketing and Offender’s Identification, Police Bern, Bern, Switzerland

2016 ITSA ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP WINNER

Mr. Frey along with 48 international residents living abroad responded to the International Tourism Safety Association's call for contestants to compose a 500 word essay explaining how beneficial it would be for them and their community, country or locale to attend this year's 23rd International Tourism Safety Conference?

Mr. Frey came out on top with his essay and he has been invited to echo the composition that won him a free trip to Las Vegas, NV, USA to attend this spectacular event.

ITSA'S FIRST SILENT AUCTION WAS A HIT!

Over the 4-day event, conference attendees showed their support by bidding and re-bidding on packages  donated by Las Vegas hotels, restaurants, and area attractions.

The Silent Auction brought in over $1,900. One hundred percent of the proceeds collected will be dedicated to the ITSA Scholarship Fund. The fund will provide a chance for an international resident, like Michael Frey from Bern, Switzerland (to the right), to attend next year's conference.

These fine packages put a smile on someone's face!
