Both tours start on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 1:00 PM
The Hoover Dam
If you have already toured the strip, hop on a bus to Hoover Dam where we'll join our guide from the Bureau of Reclamation for a tour of the dam and Power Plant. The Bureau of Reclamation has conducted tours through the Hoover Dam and Power Plant since 1937. Today, over 1,000,000 visitors per year take the tour and millions
more drive over the dam. Constructed between 1931 and 1936, during the Great Depression, Hoover Dam
sits between Nevada and Arizona. The first concrete was poured in 1933. Builders continued pouring in
phases because it was estimated it would take 125 years to cool if the dam was built in a single
continuous pour. The dam cost $49 million to complete.
Back-of-the House Tour of Security & Surveillance Operations of City Center
With almost 17 million square-feet, this mixed-use, urban complex sits on 76 acres and is located
on the world famous Las Vegas Strip, City Center is the largest privately funded
construction project in the history of the United States.
